Havard School of Public Health’s Pyramid

It would be nice if the USDA got it together and stopped providing subsidies for red meat, corn and soy (to feed the red meat) and started promoting whole grains and fruits/vegetables. From all my research on nutrition thus far, this pyramid only starts to address the woeful inadequacies in our western diets and grocery stores. It’s a shame that so many people are unhealthy because there isn’t enough access to nutritious foods. Move those subsidies USDA!

  1. Oh my gosh, tell me about it! Food Inc was AMAZING but depressed me because I realized then that so much of WHY Americans are unhealthy is centered around other people’s greed. Le sigh…
